Cold Calling Is Tough Work

Alex, a passionate real estate agent, used to rely on buying leads from a company, but now he no longer needs to. He has built a strong digital presence through blogging and video marketing.
My Journey:
At first, all the customers hung up before I had time to introduce myself. It was depressing! I vividly recall those early days: no introductions, no dial tones, and every customer call seemed like a dead end. It was challenging and discouraging, making me wonder if this career was for me. However, I was deeply aware that giving up was not an option.
For more than thirty years, his passions have centered around sales, mindset, and leadership. His journey started at the age of 20 when he started working as a realtor. spaces in plastic folders meant for the original telephone books. Initially, he believed that success would come easily and without much effort, expecting it to be straightforward. However, this assumption proved to be the greatest mental challenge he ever faced. 😳
Alex recalled the first time he had to make calls and schedule his meetings. He struggled to even introduce himself to customers, leading him to doubt his capabilities and feel a sense of rejection for the first time. In response, he stepped outside and sat on a rock, pondering, “What should I do now? Do I give up, return home, and concede defeat? Do I tell everyone it was merely a lousy job?”🤔
No, succumbing to defeat was not a choice. He wouldn’t admit to enjoying failure, and with no money, survival was imperative. He needed a strategy, beginning with a shift in focus. Believing in himself and his capabilities, he understood the importance of the right mindset. His initial goal was straightforward: enjoy time with customers, step outside, savor a cup of coffee, and partake in engaging conversations.
As he concentrated on his customers, everything transformed. Throughout this journey, he discovered that the correct mindset, along with the appropriate sales tools and structure, was crucial for attaining his desired sales outcomes. He rose to become the top sales representative in the company. In brief, he was promoted to manager and was given the chance to establish multiple sales divisions and teams from the ground up.
Like so many other skilled salespeople, he was promoted to sales manager with no experience in leadership whatsoever. However, he remember how lonely he felt at that time. With little help or support, there were moments when he  wished he had a source of help and inspiration.
Having struggled to overcome the mental challenges of selling, he knew how important it was to uplift and motivate my sales reps with lots of training and encouragement. he needed to support his team members through all the challenges he had faced, prepare them properly for the job, and be there to help and support them whenever needed.
